Similar to a typical cafe, The Cheshire Grin Cat Cafe is populated with roaming cats. We are an independent nonprofit rescue. Being a rescue enables us to take animals off the Animal Control euthanasia list, giving them a second chance.

When the founder and his wife first began rescuing dogs in the 1980s, our tale officially begins. Animal control alerted Sadie and Hannah about a Golden Retriever that was going to be put down due to the popularity of their own Golden Retrievers, Sadie and Hannah. Jenny was her name.
