Animal Shelters

A non-profit, no-kill animal welfare organization, Camp Papillon Animal Shelter is devoted to the reduction of animal cruelty and suffering. The Camp Papillon Animal Shelter works hard and compassionately to provide a safe sanctuary for all animals under our care. We strive to put a stop to all forms of animal cruelty, including the suffering and slaughter of unwanted, homeless, neglected, and/or abused companion animals.

The Center for Animal Health and Welfare, originally known as the Northampton County SPCA, was established in 1913. We have no connections to other SPCAs or ASPCAs. We are a non-profit organization with 501c3 registration, not a government entity.

The future of our dogs is important to us at the Huntingdon County Humane Society. Together, we can ensure that both dogs and cats have access to the tools they require to maintain their health prior to adoption, and we work to place them in loving, permanent homes.

The Lancaster Center serves as a community hub and is committed to reuniting missing pets with their owners, finding new homes for adoptable pets, and offering low-cost services to the neighborhood.

At Providence Animal Center, we provide excellent, reasonably priced, and life-affirming rescue, adoption, medical treatment, and training services for companion animals. We also act as a community resource that encourages people to value the relationship between people and animals.

In 2009, Perry County Animal Rescue (PCoAR) was founded out of a passion for animals. The main goal of PCoAR is to provide temporary shelter for unwanted and lost animals from Juniata and Perry Counties while they search for new homes.

We are a rescue for animals. Our Aston facility is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday and contains animals who are currently up for adoption. Both volunteer dog walkers and cat room volunteers are constantly needed.

The Paws Along The River Humane Society was founded in 1931 and is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. A volunteer board of directors creates the organization's mission and policies, ensures that legal obligations are met, manages the finances of its assets, reviews and approves plans and budgets, serves as a community liaison, supports the executive director, finds new board members, and assesses operational effectiveness.

In order to keep companion animals safe from neglect, starvation, fear, and loneliness until they are placed in loving, permanent homes, AWSOM offers them a place to live and medical attention.

A charitable 501c3 organization, The Animal Rescue League of Berks County takes care of over 5,000 animals annually in an effort to give them new homes or second chances and reunite them with their appreciative owners.
