Since November 2009, Blount County Animal Center Complex, which includes the Blount County Animal Shelter, has been safeguarding the welfare of both animals and people in Blount County, Tennessee.

Nationwide, 6 million dogs and cats are brought into shelters each year. Approximately half of them will be put to death due to a lack of money rather than bad health or aggressive problems.

You can rely on us to meet your demands and go above and beyond your expectations no matter what kind of support your pets require. This is due to the fact that White Owl Sanctuary was established with the express purpose of giving all homeless/stray animals and pet parents the care and services they require.

Over 9,000 puppies and kittens have found loving homes thanks to Homeward Bound. plus countless other animals!

All of the animals that have been abused or neglected are the focus of New Horizons Animal Shelter and Rescue.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization called Rescues Unlimited helps abused animals find loving homes and so rescues them. Although cats and raccoons have also been placed, dogs are our primary focus. The welfare and happiness of our animals is our first priority. We place a high value on each animal's continued care following adoption. This entails providing for the animal's emotional requirements of company and love in addition to its physical needs of food and shelter.

In order to address the problems of animal welfare and encourage ethical pet ownership, the Beadle County Humane Society was founded.

On the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, there is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization called Oglala Pet Project (OPP), which is run entirely by volunteers. The Oglala people have a great deal of compassion for all animals despite their everyday hardships. Through education, spay/neuter support, pet health services, and the rehoming or networking of abandoned, abused, or unwanted pets on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, OPP was established to assist community people in caring for their animals and improving the quality of life for dogs.

Animal Control relies on the community to notify us when they notice stray, poorly handled, or ill animals because we receive over 18,000 complaints a year.
