Ward Canyon Dog Park is an off-leash area of Ward Canyon Park in San Diego, California, with two gated cages on tumbling wood chipping areas: one for tiny dogs and one for large or all dogs. Pergolas, park benches, and a parking space are also available. The park is open seven days a week from dawn to dark.

There are several pet-friendly sites to enjoy at Sonoma Coast State Park. At this popular state park, broad sandy beaches extend out along a gorgeous coastline of natural arches and quiet coves. Although dogs are not permitted on Goat Rock Beach, your leashed companion can accompany you to Blind Beach, which is located off the south parking lot at Goat Rock. Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a countrywide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Fay Avenue Bike Path, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once a disused railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie on-leash in La Jolla!
