Dog Park Locations

This enclosed dog park, which has a separate section for smaller pets, attracts pets who enjoy playing off-leash.

The Boneyard, also known as Culver City Dog Par, is the city's designated off-leash dog park. In Culver City Park, the park is located on Duquesne Avenue (about 3/4 mile east of Overland), south of Jefferson Blvd. It covers a little more than an acre and includes a small and big dog park, benches, trees, temporary shade and weather buildings, water fountains, and decomposed granite as ground cover.

Bring your pet to Glen Alla Park for a jog or to simply rest. Dogs are allowed on the premises as long as they are kept on a leash.

The Aliso Creek Riding and Hiking Trail is a multi-use trail in Aliso Viejo that's perfect for walking Petzooie! The parking lot shown on the map below provides easy access to the Aliso Creek Riding and Hiking Trail. The Rails-to-Trails Conservancy has generously provided Bring Petzooie with map data for this trail for educational purposes exclusively.

This beautiful park spans 290 acres and features wooded canyons, rivers, and climbing trails. On-leash pets are accepted.

Seven Seas Park in Sunnyvale, California, has a gated dog park, two playgrounds, a half basketball court, a tennis court, a spray pool, a multi-use field, picnic tables, two barbecues, and restrooms. Picnic places are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

King Park Dog Park in Brentwood, California, has two fantastic dog play areas, one for tiny dogs and the other for larger dogs. Both areas have specially designed play equipment for animal buddies. People can sit on chairs and relax while watching their pets play in the fenced-in play areas. Water fountains for humans and dogs are also available.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a countrywide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Coyote Creek Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in San Jose! A parking lot with easy access to the Coyote Creek Trail is shown on the map below.

Travel to the peak on the dog-friendly Mammoth Mountain Scenic Gondola in Mammoth Lakes, CA, throughout the summer. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to ride the gondola up the mountain. You may explore the mountain with your leashed pet on one of the numerous picturesque hiking paths once you reach the summit. From nearly 11,000 feet above sea level, take in the vista of the surrounding mountains. Dogs are only permitted to ride the Gondola during the summer.

Donner Memorial State Park is one of California's most pet-friendly state parks. This state park in Sierra Nevada offers camping, picnics, boating, fishing, water skiing, and hiking for you and Petzooie. Although pets are not permitted on all trails, as they are in other California state parks, they are welcome in the water, on paved roads, and in camping and picnic areas. Keep an eye out for the dog entrance signs so you and Petzooie can get to the lake quickly. From sunrise to sunset, the park is open.
