Small and large dogs can play off-leash in separate areas at the Uptown Dog Park. The enclosed area is close to a parking lot and picnic sites.

Shoreline Village is a dog-friendly waterfront retail, dining, and entertainment facility overlooking Long Beach's beautiful Rainbow Harbor. You and your dog can go for a walk and see the sights of Long Beach from a nearby lighthouse. Shoreline Village is open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day.

13. San Gabriel River Bike Trail

The San Gabriel River Bike Trail is a multi-use trail in Long Beach that's perfect for walking Petzooie! A parking lot with easy access to the San Gabriel River Trail is shown on the map below.

14. Gondola Getaway

Private 1-hour tours of Alamitos Bay and the lovely Naples Islands are available from Gondola Getaway. They have gondolas that can accommodate up to 14 people. Bring your own drinks and munchies; they'll take care of the corkage and offer buckets, ice, and glasses as needed. Dogs must be on a leash. From 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., every day.

Belmont Shores is a pet-friendly neighborhood with plenty of water bowls outside for thirsty dogs.

16. Pacific Electric Right Of Way

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports Pacific Electric Right Of Way, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Long Beach!

The two-acre Recreation Park Dog Park has separate gated sections for little and large dogs. There are also trees, chairs, water, and trash cans in the park. Mondays before noon, the park may be closed for repairs.

18. El Dorado East Regional Park

El Dorado Park offers a fenced-in off-leash dog area that is divided into two sections: one for big dogs and one for small dogs. There's plenty of water and poop bags, but if you drive your dog to the park, you'll have to pay an entrance charge.
