The Phoenix Shop at Nepenthe welcomes leashed dogs to accompany their owners while they shop for local art, foreign imports, and fine jewelry.

At Andrew Molera State Park, dogs are welcome to accompany you to the picnic areas, campgrounds, and paved roads throughout the park, but not on the trails. The site, which is located on California's magnificent Big Sur coast, was donated by the previous owner, Frances Molera, who wanted it to be used and conserved by the public. From half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after dusk, the park is open.

Dogs are allowed in certain areas of Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. Paved roads, developed campgrounds, and day use areas are all open to leashed dogs. They are not permitted on any of the paths in the State Parks. The Big Sur River runs through several of the campgrounds. There is a $10 per car day use fee. From half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after dusk, Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park is open.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Parking lot with a short walk out to the cliffs with views of the Pacific Ocean. The greatest crescent of sandy beach in Big Sur, nestled below the magnificent Pacific Valley cliffs, is a short but steep (5-10 minute) hike down. It's about a mile long from beginning to end. In the parking area, there are pit toilets.

Dogs must be on a leash. Start traveling south on Highway 1 from Big Sur, and keep an eye out for Sycamore Road. The beach is slightly over 2 miles down Sycamore Road. There is a $5 parking fee per vehicle.
