A small charity group called Friends of the Valdez Animal Shelter is committed to improving shelter animals' lives and assisting them in locating devoted, lifelong homes. A group of volunteers manages the FVAS Petstore and organizes fundraisers on their own time. Spaying and neutering, medical attention, and supplies are provided for animals in need using the money earned.

The goal of the volunteer organization C.H.A.R.M., Inc. is to save the lives of the canines at the Headland Animal Shelter. Until a suitable home is located, we take care of the dogs' daily requirements, including nutrition, healthcare, socialization, security, and general comfort.

Joy Bryan thought that it is our duty to assist people who are unable to assist themselves. By taking care of the dogs and cats in Barbour County, we work hard every day to achieve that goal.
