AFH is an all-breed dog rescue that serves the Washington, DC metro area and strives to provide loving, permanent homes for dogs in need.

By providing a guaranteed plan, we provide you piece of mind about the future of your cat. If you sign up for a certain period of time, we will accept your cat and provide it with quality care in a cageless home environment until it can be paired with a suitable forever home in the event that you transfer to a permanent care facility or pass away during that time. Every policy includes complimentary boarding!

Cat Lounge featuring cage-free cats for adoption; partners with Fancy Cat and Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART); charges a $15 entrance fee (discounts available) to fund operational costs.

The Humane Society of Fairfax County, Inc.'s objective is to advance humane education, stop all forms of animal abuse, both domestic and wild, by all legal means, and help the local community with any issues involving the welfare of animals.

Wolf Trap Animal Rescue (WTAR) concentrates its efforts on saving at-risk animals from being put to death, neglect, and cruelty. The majority of these creatures originate in Mississippi, where young animals are routinely put to death in the hundreds owing to overcrowding.

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization called Golden Retriever Rescue, Education and Training, Inc. (GREAT) is committed to helping unwanted, stray, and abandoned Golden Retrievers find loving new homes. We are a nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers that provides services to Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia, eastern West Virginia, and south central Pennsylvania. Each year, GRREAT places about 100 Golden Retrievers. Additionally, we work to inform the public about the traits of the Golden Retriever breed and the benefits of adopting a rescued dog.

To take in animals from overcrowded shelters, animals found as strays in our neighborhood, or animals whose owners are forced to surrender them when misfortune strikes, in order to decrease the at-risk homeless animal population;

The 501(c)(3) nonprofit fundraising partner of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter is called Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter (Friends) (Shelter). Numerous animal-loving donors and volunteers help Friends meet critical needs that go above and beyond what the Shelter's budget can provide. Please support us as we work to provide every shelter pet the greatest chance possible to find a loving forever home.

Mutt Love Rescue is pleased to announce that we will once again be doing adoption events on Saturdays at Weber's Pet Supermarket. We respect the safety of our volunteers and adopters, so we ask that anyone who hasn't received all of their vaccinations or isn't completely vaccinated wear a mask at all times.
