With adoption centers, accredited non-profit veterinary institutions, emergency animal rescue services, community pet assistance programs, an animal-focused charity foundation, and a free, public dog park, Humane Pennsylvania is an innovative national pioneer in animal care.

Hello and welcome to the animal sanctuary Almost Home. Southeast Pennsylvania is home to the private 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue known as Almost Home Animal Sanctuary. Rescue, rehabilitation, and re-education (training) services are offered by us.

Based in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, Safety Net Sanctuary is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization. We are a special pet rescue situated on a 12-acre farm, and since 2014, we have focused on caring for senior and special needs animals of all kinds.

We are a nonprofit organization that focuses on providing care for elderly, ill, disabled, and terminally ill pets. We are proponents of animal rights, and our kennel in Pennsylvania is licensed, insured, and equipped with an electronic fire alarm system.

In order to create a safe haven for their community's lost, abandoned, and unwanted animals, fifteen compassionate citizens banded together in 1952. After twenty years of effective operation as a foster network, the company was able to construct the new site on Kennedy Hill Road. To better serve the community, the Crawford County Humane Society keeps growing its building and offering more services. Our ability to give our adoptable pets loving care and loving, long-term homes is made possible by your kind donations.

On October 16, 2017, Ridgway Animal Haven was established in response to the demand for a location where stray, abused, and neglected animals in our community might be brought. I proposed fixing their holding pen to the Ridgway Borough Counsel along with other board members. When the animals were prepared to be adopted, the proposition asked whether we could fix their holding pen and arrange adoptions. The Ridgway Animal Haven board and I made the decision to start our own rescue because we were only permitted a 48-hour holding period. We were ultimately able to raise enough money to construct our own building, despite the lengthy procedure and significant community funding requirements.

ODAAT understands that until state cruelty laws are updated or reformed, the issues of neglected and abused animals in Pennsylvania do not have immediate remedies.
