Estrella Mountain Regional Park

Dogs on leashes are welcome to enjoy the park's desert and mountain paths. In 1954, the Maricopa County Park System established the first regional park on these 19,840 acres of desert and mountains. The park has a seasonal wetland or riparian region during our winter and monsoon rains, and is located near the confluence of the Gila and Agua Fria Rivers in the southwest Valley. The majority of the park is still desert, with a topography that resembles that of the earliest settlers and explorers.
