Rincon Hill Dog Park

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the San Francisco Bay Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in San Francisco! A parking lot with easy access to the San Francisco Bay Trail is shown on the map below.

For you and your dog, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Commission has designated select park locations throughout the city as off-leash dog zones. Please help to ensure that all park visitors have a nice experience by maintaining these areas neat and clean and according to our new citywide dog policy.

The California Natural Resources Agency has awarded Recreation and Parks a substantial $2 million grant to rehabilitate the Dog Training Area near the Bison Paddock in Golden Gate Park.

The entire city, as well as the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge, can be seen from this terraced park.

A fantastic new addition to Mission Bay Parks, complete with a doggie play area and a plethora of tail-wagging facilities.

Several small off-leash dog play spaces are located along Brotherhood Way, and many locals take their dogs there to play, meet, and run on a daily basis.
