Tecolote Canyon Natural Park and Nature Center

The majority of this big sandy island in Mission Bay is off-leash for dogs. The sandy dunes at Fiesta Island Off-Leash Dog Park are great for romping, while the calm bay waters allow more adventurous dogs to take a little plunge. Sea World will be on your left, fenced-in front with signs, and there is a dedicated off-leash area on the backside of the island. Water should be brought for your dogs.

Dogs are allowed on leashes in some portions of Mission Bay Park in San Diego, CA, while others, such as Fiesta Island, are leash-free, and others are not. Please take heed to the signs that have been placed throughout the area.

Presidio Park, located on a hill overlooking the city and the bay in San Diego, is a dog-friendly 50-acre park. A lovely place to go for a walk or have a picnic with your leashed pet.

Leashed dogs are welcome to accompany their owners on a historical promenade around Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, where visitors will learn about life in the 1820s-1870s. Visitors will experience the merging cultures of Mexico and the United States as they track San Diego's transformation from a Mexican pueblo to an American town through history. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and are not allowed inside.

This one-acre park, located at the intersection of Felspar and Soledad Mountain Roads, features two gated pens with turfed sections. The first is for tiny dogs, while the second is for large dogs. Water for dogs, a drinking fountain, picnic tables and seats, and a parking area are all available at both locations.
