The asphalt trails at Bolsa Chica State Beach are dog-friendly. On hot days, this popular beach area brings a large number of visitors to the sea, however dogs must remain on the pathways because they are not permitted on the sand.

The Best Friend Dog Park is divided into two areas and is located in lovely Huntington Central Park at the intersection of Edwards Street and Inlet Drive in Huntington Beach, CA. Large dogs should use the larger section. The smaller part, roughly a half-acre in size, is reserved for small dogs and/or larger canines with disabilities. A lovely view of Lake Huntington may be seen from the Small Dog side! On both sides of the dog park, there are drinking stations with fresh water. There are also shaded spots throughout the dog park for those who want to avoid the sun. The dog park is completely free to enter. Poop bags are available in dispensers throughout the dog park, in addition to fresh water for your dogs.

Most people consider Huntington Dog Beach in California to be doggy heaven. Dogs from all over the world come to play in the beach and swim in the sea. Visitors are asked to follow proper dog etiquette, which includes disposing of pet waste correctly and keeping your dog calm and under control at all times. On the asphalt portions at Huntington State Beach, dogs are welcome. Petzooie won't be able to join you on the sand at this popular beach, but there are a few concrete bike routes and trails where Petzooie can get some much-needed exercise. The beach is 121 acres in size, and the main dog-friendly route runs along a portion of it, with a distant view of the sea. Huntington Dog Beach is just down the road for dogs that want to feel the sand under their paws.

The Santa Ana River Route is a multi-use trail near Huntington Beach that is a terrific area to walk Petzooie! A parking lot with easy access to the Santa Ana River Trail is shown on the map below.
