Huntington Beach Best Friend Dog Park

The asphalt trails at Bolsa Chica State Beach are dog-friendly. On hot days, this popular beach area brings a large number of visitors to the sea, however dogs must remain on the pathways because they are not permitted on the sand.

Pets are welcome at Huntington Harbor Boat Rentals. This is an excellent spot to rent duffy boats, stand-up paddle boards, and kayaks in OC, and it's conveniently located in Sunset Beach. On a handful of their rentals, leashed dogs are permitted.

The Santa Ana River Route is a multi-use trail near Huntington Beach that is a terrific area to walk Petzooie! A parking lot with easy access to the Santa Ana River Trail is shown on the map below. On the asphalt portions at Huntington State Beach, dogs are welcome. Petzooie won't be able to join you on the sand at this popular beach, but there are a few concrete bike routes and trails where Petzooie can get some much-needed exercise. The beach is 121 acres in size, and the main dog-friendly route runs along a portion of it, with a distant view of the sea. Huntington Dog Beach is just down the road for dogs that want to feel the sand under their paws.
