In honor of Alex Ching, a dog park is being built at Bayonet Farm. Alex Ching found enormous satisfaction in the little things in life.

Pets are welcome at 8th Avenue Dog Beach. Plan an off-leash frolic at Asbury Park's 8th Avenue Dog Beach if your dog was born to run. Jump in the water with your dog for a nice swim after a game of fetch or Frisbee. Between mid-September and mid-May, dogs are always welcome on the beach. If you visit during the summer, go early in the morning or late in the evening, as dogs are not allowed between 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Van Vorst Park is a neighborhood of Jersey City's Historic Downtown, Hudson County, New Jersey, United States, based on the same-named park. West of Paulus Hook and Marin Boulevard, north of Grand Street, east of the Turnpike Extension, and south of The Village and Christopher Columbus Drive, the neighborhood is located. The Van Vorst Park Historical District encompasses much of it .

To fulfill the needs of the neighborhood, the Southwest Park blends passive green space and flood control. It is the first resiliency park in New Jersey with integrated green infrastructure to reduce floods.
