Coronado State Park's Agua Caliente Hill Path #46 is a 9.25-mile (round-trip) moderately difficult trail (lots of climbing). This trail is too hot to hike in the summer, but it's ideal for a cold day. The route provides stunning views of the city. Although there is water at Cat Track Tank (1.6 miles), it is advised to bring plenty for you and your dog.

RJ Dog Park is a terrific spot for your dog to play off leash and is named after a police dog who died in the line of duty. A total of 2 grassy acres are split into different gated zones for little and large dogs in this completely fenced dog park. In both sides of the park, there are also shaded places and water fountains. The park is ADA-compliant. In the event of heavy rain, the park may be temporarily closed to allow the turf to dry properly. Please contact to inquire about weather-related closures.

This park is located between Bell Road and Union Hills Drive on 40th Street. This dog park has 2.4 acres of grass, two ramadas, tables and benches, drinking fountains, and two distinct areas with double gates for large and little dogs.

This 2.5-acre off-leash dog park is a fantastic area for your pet to meet new people. There are separate spaces for little and large dogs in the park, which is securely gated. Benches, trees, drinking fountains, and garbage and waste bag dispensers can be found in each location. Water fountains, a separate small dog area, garbage bags, and shade trees are all included. You and your dog can explore over 51 miles of primary trails at South Mountain Park and Preserve. Are you not a hiker? Take the Summit Road to Dobbins Lookout or Gila Lookout for a view of the Gila River Valley. Once a month, South Mountain Park hosts Silent Sunday, a day when the park's main access roads are closed to motorized vehicles and only non-motorized traffic is permitted. All hiking trails in Phoenix are subject to leash rules, and pets must be leashed at all times.

There are separate spaces for large and little dogs, shade trees, seats, and cool running water in this gorgeous, fully-fenced off-leash dog park. Any pet waste must be picked up right away by the owner. Dog waste dispensers called Mutt Mitts can be seen in both the large and small dog sections. Cosmo Dog Park in Gilbert, Arizona, is divided into three sections: one for little or fearful dogs, one with agility equipment, and one with a pond and "beach" for dogs to enjoy. Water hoses are supplied to clean up after your dog's romp. Tuesdays from 5:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., the park is closed for maintenance.

This place is ideal for your daily walk with man's best friend, thanks to a paved tree-lined route and the surrounding desert nature. To avoid the heat, go early in the morning or after sunset, but if you go during the day, bring a dish so Fido may drink from the water fountains that are positioned at each intersection along the walk.
