231. Sinclair Wash Trail
Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a countrywide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Sinclair Wash Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an underused railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Fido in Flagstaff!

At Pioneer Living History Village, you and Petzooie will find more than 90 acres of history to explore. This 1800s village has plenty to see and do, with real buildings, historically accurate reproductions, and costumed interpreters. At all times, dogs must be leashed. During the summer, be mindful that snakes are active.
233. Red Rock Magic Trolley Tours
Small dogs are invited to accompany their owners on a Red Rock Magic Trolley tour of Sedona's sights and sounds. Choose from three panoramic trips that last 55 to 85 minutes and take you to places like the Chapel of the Holy Cross, Boynton Canyon, and Bell Rock, among others. While on the tour, dogs must be leashed at all times and able to sit comfortably in their human's lap. Reservations are strongly advised.

A large park with a fenced-in agility course and a secluded area for frightened or little dogs. The park has pooper scoopers, doggy drinking fountains, a tunnel, and a hurdle, and it is enclosed by a 6-foot high chain link fence with one main access to keep dogs from running loose. Tuesdays are maintenance days at the park.

Dove Mountain and the adjacent Preserve have more than 50 miles of hiking and bicycling paths, ranging in elevation from 2,800 feet to 4,300 feet. While you may spend weeks exploring the Sonoran Desert's beauties and never see the same thing twice, going back to an old favorite never gets old. The trails were well-maintained and clearly signposted. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

Sahuarita Lake Park is a 15-acre park featuring grassy sections and a lakeside pathway. Please keep in mind that dogs must be kept on a leash and are not permitted to swim in the lake. From sunrise to sunset, the park is open.

Looking for a fun place to take your kids, both human and canine, for the day? The Gateway Trailhead in Scottsdale, Arizona, offers a variety of hiking and educational opportunities. Children can pick up a passport at the trailhead and collect stamps at other nearby trails to get a prize at the end. There are a variety of routes for all ability levels, beginning with a kid-friendly 0.5 mile nature trail complete with educational games and signs. There is ample of parking, as well as facilities and drinking fountains, at the trailhead. Make sure you have plenty of warm clothing for both you and Petzooie. At all times, dogs must be leashed.
