Animal Shelters
91. Operation Hood Inc.
The non-profit 501(c)(3) group Operation Hood Inc. spreads knowledge about why TNR (trap-neuter-return) is the most practical and compassionate solution to the problem of community cat overpopulation. We have created "The Fence," a safe haven, for neighborhood cats that were saved from Hood Drive in 2016. These kitties will receive daily care for the rest of their lives.

By rescuing and caring for stray, abandoned, mistreated, and hurt animals, it is our goal to end animal cruelty. Our goal is to CARE for animals by offering them veterinary care, microchipping, spaying/neutering, and loving foster care homes before placing them in permanent homes. Additionally, we will inform the public about the value of spaying and neutering canines as well as proper canine health and behavioral care.

In Front Royal, Virginia, there is a nonprofit animal shelter called The Humane Society of Warren County. Since our establishment in 1947, we have provided a safe home for the misplaced, abused, and abandoned pets of Warren County. We became a no-kill organization in 2012, and we're happy to keep it that way. When you visit the shelter, you can count on finding a kind and welcoming environment as well as caring treatment for our animals.
