The mission of the Old Dominion Humane Society is to reduce the number of animals that are needlessly put to death by rescuing canines from high-kill shelters and educating the public about animal rescue.

Animals are kept in accordance with state regulations and may be reclaimed by the owner, adopted, or put to death. Since September 2013, our shelter has been operating under a NO KILL mission.

Approval for 501c3 Non Profit. based in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Good day! We are a small group that helps canines on death row in VA (and soon more states) have a second chance.

The non-profit 501(c)(3) group Operation Hood Inc. spreads knowledge about why TNR (trap-neuter-return) is the most practical and compassionate solution to the problem of community cat overpopulation. We have created "The Fence," a safe haven, for neighborhood cats that were saved from Hood Drive in 2016. These kitties will receive daily care for the rest of their lives.
