Amelia County Animal Control

Up to 16 dogs and 12 cats can be housed in the facility, which was completed in 2002. We also have a separate room for animals that are expecting or nursing, as well as a small corral for our modest number of livestock, which includes horses, goats, lambs, and other animals.

A 501c3 non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers, LRGR is working to save Labrador Retrievers in the states of Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

By providing animals in need with hope, assistance, and loving homes, the Richmond Animal League is dedicated to saving lives. With a goal of lowering euthanasia rates, RAL concentrates its rescue efforts on its Virginia shelter partners' most vulnerable animals.

In Goochland County, Virginia, there is a municipal pound called the Goochland County Animal Shelter & Adoption Center. We are situated 20 minutes west of Richmond off of Interstate 64 in the heart of Virginia.
