Richmond Ruff House

In Goochland County, Virginia, there is a municipal pound called the Goochland County Animal Shelter & Adoption Center. We are situated 20 minutes west of Richmond off of Interstate 64 in the heart of Virginia.

A 501c3 non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers, LRGR is working to save Labrador Retrievers in the states of Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

By providing animals in need with hope, assistance, and loving homes, the Richmond Animal League is dedicated to saving lives. With a goal of lowering euthanasia rates, RAL concentrates its rescue efforts on its Virginia shelter partners' most vulnerable animals.

FURS was established in 2001 as an all-volunteer dog adoption and rescue organization. Our neighborhood, grassroots organization is dedicated to the careful, long-term adoption of the dogs we save from killing shelters and other dangerous circumstances.

An all-volunteer, non-profit 501 (c) (3) group called Cat Adoption and Rescue Efforts (C.A.R.E.) is committed to the rehabilitation, care, and adoption of cats.
