Great Lakes Dog Rescue's goal is to rescue well-mannered, adoptable dogs from animal control facilities and owner surrenders, and to provide them with food, shelter, and medical attention until they are adopted. Our goal is to help the neighborhood become more responsible pet owners by educating and supporting them.

We are the only animal shelter in Mecosta County. A group of concerned animal lovers came together to form ARC in 2011 with the goal of bettering the conditions for Mecosta County's dogs and cats.

In order to lessen factors like stress, anxiety, and fear, this approach prioritizes the experiences of animals in the shelter. While some aspects are more subtle than others, certain things are clear (such lowering the sounds of loud, abrupt noises) (limiting who is walking past cages)

205. Rea Family Animal Shelter formerly known as Ogemaw County Humane Society

We rescue unwanted and stray animals, treat their medical conditions as needed, spay and neuter them, and then place them in loving homes.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Humane Society of Midland County is committed to helping unwanted and abandoned animals find loving, long-term homes. The sole animal shelter in Midland County is run and maintained by our small staff and committed volunteers.

The main objective of Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary, a 501(c)3 non-profit with federal recognition, is to find homeless canines loving, lifelong homes. There is no governmental, local, or federal financing for Mackenzie's; all funding comes from private donations and fundraisers.

The Arenac County Board of Commissioners administers Arenac Co Animal Control as a county-funded program. The entire county of Arenac is serviced by Arenac County Animal Control, which yearly cares for about 1000 animals.

A 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization serving the Mid-Michigan region, The Humane Animal Treatment Society (HATS) is independently run and dedicated to the welfare of animals. At the Isabella County Animal Control facility, HATS is the only company with a contract to handle all animal care and adoption services.
