Great Lakes Dog Rescue

Rescue as many well-behaved, adoptable dogs as you can from owner surrenders and the county shelters' euthanasia lists; offer rescued pets a humane environment until permanent homes can be found; and inform the public about ethical pet ownership.

The purpose of Lapeer County Animal Control is to uphold the county's animal control laws. We keep stray animals, offer dog permits, and have adoptable dogs.

We are a "adoption guarantee" rescue group because we save all the healthy and treatable rescued dogs and cats in our care and work to place them in the finest possible homes.

Animal rescue organization Furever Tails is centered on foster homes. Our rescued animals include pets that were given up by their owners, those that came from high-kill shelters, and strays that were found but never claimed.

One hundred excellent volunteers make up the Detroit Animal Welfare Group (DAWG), which is committed to aiding all animals in need. Despite being situated in Romeo, Michigan, we work to support neglected, ill, and homeless animals in areas like Detroit.

Since almost a century, Genesee County has been home to the non-profit, 501 (c) 3 Humane Society of Genesee County (HSGC). The treatment and wellbeing of companion animals are at the heart of our activism.
