The Humane Society of Johnson County will be the leading agency for improving the standard of living for pets, their owners, and the neighborhood. We'll offer services and initiatives that promote animal welfare, responsible pet adoption, and responsible pet ownership.

We are a 501c3 non-profit rescue that offers dogs love, shelter, food, and medical attention. By the goodwill of others, we render services.

The goal of Southside Animal Shelter is to rescue stray dogs and cats, care for them, and get them back into loving homes where they can live happy, healthy lives.

Our mission is to assist those who lack the ability to speak for themselves, to provide unwanted, abused, and injured animals with humane care, to stop animal cruelty, and to place adoptable pets in suitable, long-term homes with responsible owners.

The goal of Animal Outreach of Shelby County is to increase the live release rate at the Shelbyville Shelby County Animal Shelter by promoting spay/neuter programs, fostering responsible pet ownership, and implementing trap/neuter/return (TNR) as a humane way to deal with the strays and feral cats that are becoming an increasingly large problem.
