We are a second-generation animal clinic that has been serving Morgan County for almost 60 years. Dr. Ray Ashwander founded the practice in 1945, and his son, Dr. Charles Ashwander, joined him in 1979. Since 1957, Ashwander Animal Clinic has been located at 2001 6th Avenue SE in Decatur, AL. It was initially located on Moulton Street in downtown Decatur. Dr. Ashwander is a veterinary medicine graduate of Auburn University. He's a member of the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association, among other organizations.
