Despite the lack of ball fields and playground equipment, this park has a lot to offer. It's ideal for a little light exercise or just a leisurely stroll, with a half mile of paved walking paths flowing between big trees and native plants.

Wapato Park is nestled between a lake and a forest. A.9-mile walking track around the lake, a playground, a dog park, picnic shelters, and an exquisite, antique pergola are among the amenities.

South of the Bridge, near to Chambers Bay Golf Course, is an off-leash beach access area for dogs. The park is 7 acres in size, with a 1 acre off-leash section and a separate area for small, shy, and senior dogs. SUNDogs (Safe, Unleashed, Natural), a non-profit organization based in University Place, Washington, maintains and funds it.
