Gus Allen Sr. Park

The recreation facility, 3115 83rd St., will be around 5 acres and should be finished by the end of the year, according to city officials. It will include a tennis and aquatic center, baseball diamonds, an archery range, and other athletic fields.

Lindale Park features three tennis courts, the Leroy Naschke Baseball Field, the Lindale Dog Park, a track, and picnic areas.

Kempner Park is a popular with pet owners, despite the fact that it is not a dog park. It even has a delightful doggie fountain. At all times, dogs must be kept on a leash.

A broad sandy beach for kite flying, sunbathing, and swimming attracts families to this low-key park.

Schreiber Park, often known as 'Rocket Ship Park,' is a big space shuttle-themed City park featuring a splash pad. The Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark and Moody Gardens are both within walking distance, and the beach is about 1/2 mile away.

Campgrounds, hiking paths, birdwatching areas, and unsupervised swimming are all available in this 2000-acre park.
