Galveston Island State Park

The recreation facility, 3115 83rd St., will be around 5 acres and should be finished by the end of the year, according to city officials. It will include a tennis and aquatic center, baseball diamonds, an archery range, and other athletic fields.

Lindale Park features three tennis courts, the Leroy Naschke Baseball Field, the Lindale Dog Park, a track, and picnic areas.

Schreiber Park, often known as 'Rocket Ship Park,' is a big space shuttle-themed City park featuring a splash pad. The Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark and Moody Gardens are both within walking distance, and the beach is about 1/2 mile away.
