Peninsula State Park

A waterfront park with a swimming beach, playground, and a picnic pavilion with grill that may be rented.

The island is operated as a city park and is uninhabited. US Highway 41 runs across it, which provides access to the park's pavilion, gazebo, playground, and picnic areas.  

This four-acre fenced-in park has two dog areas: a one-acre area for little dogs and a three-acre area for larger dogs. This park has no other amenities. It is still largely supported by donations.

The T.O.P. Dog Park, Inc is dedicated to providing a secure environment for dogs and their owners to exercise and interact in a park setting.

On the Ahnapee River, DeMeuse Dog Park is located at the north end of Sixth Street, near to the Algoma Boat Club (corner of Perry and Sixth Streets in Algoma). The dog park is open from daybreak to 11:00 p.m. all year. Waste cleanup and disposal are the responsibility of the property owner.

A dog or two belonging to a friend or family member who has previously played well with your dog(s) and would like to organize play dates with them. A Safe Buddy should be registered with your dog(s) at the same time.
