Family Dogs New Life Shelter

In Portland, Oregon, Washington, California, and the neighboring areas, Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. takes in needy Dachshunds and Dachshund Mix breeds. We can assist with transportation as well. A no-kill shelter with 32 years of expertise that specializes in rescuing Dachshunds is Oregon Dachshund Rescue.

Through spay/neuter programs, education, and advocacy, the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon seeks to enhance the welfare and lower the number of feral and stray cats.

To advocate and support spaying and neutering for all companion animals; to rescue, shelter, and care for homeless animals and place them in long-term, responsible homes.

The adoptable animals at The Pixie Project originate from a variety of locations, but the majority are from rescues and overcrowded county shelters in Oregon's more rural counties. We offer an urban outlet where the animals can have the most awareness and exposure to potential adopters because many of these locations are not covered by a local shelter. Additionally, we provide veterinary and training support for all of the animals who come to us for rescue.

Through customized care, a lifelong commitment, rescue and adoption, resources and education, and collaborations with the community, Animal Aid of Portland improves the wellbeing of companion animals.
