Dogs who attack humans or other animals will be ejected from the park. Animals with a history of aggressive behavior will not be allowed inside.

Thornberry Off-Leash Dog Park in Iowa City is a pet-friendly entertainment facility. A separate space for tiny dogs, agility equipment and training area, and a doggy swimming pond are all included in this fenced dog park. The park requires a permit, but if you're only going for the day, they ask for a $5 donation, which can be paid on the honor system. Dogs are welcome to run around in the park as long as they clean up after themselves.

The goal of DogWorld was to establish an off-leash utopia where dogs and their humans could safely interact and play together. We discovered that most public dog parks were small, packed spaces where there was no way of knowing whether other dogs were vaccinated or friendly, so we built a park where we could assure that all dogs were vaccinated and temperament checked.

There are 3,900 acres of woods for hiking and camping, as well as canoeing and fishing on the Eno River.

There is a playground, tennis and basketball courts, a dog park, and a skate park in this large park.
