Delta Heritage Trail State Park

Pets are welcome at Delta Heritage Trail State Park. Take your dog for a walk along the trail, which passes through a variety of wildlife habitats and gorgeous vegetation. The route is currently 44 miles long, but it is constantly developing, with the goal of completing the entire rail-to-trail line at 84.5 miles. Delta Heritage Trail State Park is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the week.

A 60-foot boat ramp, one of the largest public access ramps on the lower Mississippi, is located at River Park. This park marks the spot where the United States and France made the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, when the US paid $15 million for 827,000 square miles of land west of the Mississipi River.
