Eagle Trail State Recreation Site
At state parks and campgrounds, pets must be leashed and accompanied by their owners at all times; unleashed dogs are permitted in the wilderness but must be under voice direction. If you have a pet, please clean up after it. Within 100 feet of a cabin, sled dogs and horses should not be tied. A one-mile nature trail and a 2.5-mile hiking track with a view of the Tok River Valley are available to visitors to this 280-acre park. Most highway drivers will have their first taste of the Alaska Range on the Eagle Trail SRS. In the Tok Trophy Sheep Management Area, an eight-hour climb up the adjacent creek takes backpackers within close range of Dall sheep.
