Tower Hill State Park

Pets are welcome at Spring Green Dog Park. This off-leash dog park is a terrific location for your dog to play, socialize, and meet new people. Owners of dogs are encouraged to keep an eye on their pets when they play and to wipe up any mess they make. During daylight hours, the park is open all year.

Governor Dodge State Park, located outside of Dodgeville in Iowa County, Wisconsin, is a 5,270-acre state park. The park is named for Henry Dodge, the first governor of the Wisconsin Territory, and it incorporates Driftless Area geologic characteristics.

Salmo Pond is a 7.5-acre county park with shoreline fishing, three handicapped fishing piers, two handicapped shore fishing stations, and picnic spots. A 3-acre lake (originally a rock quarry) with a maximum depth of 15 feet can be found there. Panfish and trout are the most common fish species. Scherbel Road, 1.5 miles west of the Village of Cross Plains and south of USH 14, leads to the park entrance.

Grundahl Park, on Blue Mounds Street on the Village's southwest side, was built in stages during the 1980s using funds raised from the annual Summer Frolic celebration. Electric outlets, a drinking fountain, and a grill are available in the open octagon shelter, which can accommodate up to 200 people. There is also a heated, enclosed shelter with restrooms that can hold up to 50 people. Both shelters are available for reservations all year. A illuminated ball diamond, playground equipment, basketball court, sledding slope, and a community stage that hosts a summer music series are among the park's other features.

On the west side of the lake, near to the tiny boat launch, there is an unfenced off-leash dog park. The parking area at the west entrance leads to the dog park and the boat launch. Gas motors are not permitted on Indian Lake; however, electric motors are permitted.

"Festge County Park was established in 1963 after Otto and Evelyn Festge generously donated the original acreage for this park. It is located in the Driftless Area (unglaciated area) of Dane County and offers a scenic view 100 feet above the Black Earth Creek Valley in the Town of Berry — one of the county's more spectacular views.
