Dog Island Park

The board has decided to rename the park "Sher Wintle Memorial Dog Park" in honor of Sher's tragic passing.

Bring your pet to this charming Redding park for a day. They'll be enthralled with the river's ducks. On-leash dogs are accepted.

The Blue Gravel Mine Trail is a multi-use trail in Redding that's perfect for walking Petzooie! A parking spot with easy access to the Blue Gravel Mine Trail is shown on the map below.

There are 80 acres of open space, as well as numerous trails that wind through open regions, shady tree-lined sections, and along the Sacramento River. A permanent shade structure with a dog and human drinking fountain is located in the parking lot. The Sacramento River Trail connects to this trail.

This enclosed, off-leash dog park has almost 2 acres of space to play in, as well as a separate tiny dog area.

Our four-legged companions now have a place to play at CARD. Come out and enjoy a run in the park with your dog. Before your first visit, please go through the dog park guidelines.
