Palisades Tahoe Aerial Tram

During the off-season, the Palisades Tahoe Aerial Tram in Olympic Valley, CA, is dog-friendly. When the ski season is over, grab your dog and ride the aerial tram for a scenic ride. The tram journey up the mountain costs money, but if you climb up to high camp (height 8200 ft) with Fido, the tram will give you both a free ride back. The Shirley Lake Trail is the best way to get there. Shirley Lake, a renowned dog-friendly swimming hole, is a 3-hour hike with a rest stop.
