Dogs are welcome to join you on a Tahoe City Kayak rental out on the water. Dogs are not permitted in the Tahoe City Kayak building, despite the fact that the rentals are pet-friendly. One dog owner will be required to travel with the rental and meet their canine companion and rowing partner at the public dock. Rates and hours vary depending on the type of rental. Online reservations are available. The shop is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday through Monday (closed Tuesday and Wednesday).

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Truckee River Bike Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group.
