Mendota County Park is a few miles southwest of Governor Nelson State Park, off County Rd M near the intersection of County Rds Q and M in the Town of Westport. A 30-unit campground and a 5-unit boat camping area are available in the park. Each campsite has a 30-amp power outlet. Some recreational RVs may require an extension cord to connect to the electric pedestal.

Penni Klein Dog Exercise Area

A six-acre fenced area designed as an off-leash exercise area for dogs and their owners is available (daily visitor permits are $5 and can be purchased at the park's self-registration station), as well as a wildlife viewing platform where park visitors can observe a variety of grassland bird species.

Quann Park

Quann Park is largely an off-leash dog park with a 12-court tennis complex that may be reserved. Between Quann and Goodman parks is the Wingra Creek bike trail. Alliant Energy Center has a shared-use agreement with the park, which allows them to use it as overflow parking and event space.

Indian Lake Dog Park

On the west side of the lake, near to the tiny boat launch, there is an unfenced off-leash dog park. The parking area at the west entrance leads to the dog park and the boat launch. Gas motors are not permitted on Indian Lake; however, electric motors are permitted.
