Leo Carrillo State Park & Beach

Charmlee Wilderness Park is located on over 532 acres in the greatest of the Santa Monica Mountains Coastal Slope Environment, with over eight miles of hiking paths and picnic areas for you and your dog to explore. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

This 6.25-mile circular route features a 1,075-foot elevation increase and offers wide views of the surrounding area once you reach the peak. Dogs should always be leashed, and their owners should tidy up after their pets.

Hike the Grotto Trail in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area with Petzooie. A quiet grotto awaits you on this 3-mile out-and-back journey. Although dogs are not permitted inside the grotto, the picturesque walk that leads there will provide plenty of entertainment and exercise for you and your dog. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

The Mishe Mokwa to Mount Allen Trail in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area is a reasonably simple 6-mile hike that takes around 3 hours with Petzooie to accomplish.
