Independence Dog Park

Hazeldale Park is an 11-acre community park with an ADA-accessible playground, three baseball fields, a soccer field, and basketball courts. The park is encircled by a paved circular trail that may be easily reached from adjacent neighborhoods.

Due to Portland's regular rain, it might get muddy at times. Take I-84 to exit 18, stay on the road and cut back under 84; instead of taking the on ramp, stay straight and you'll be in doggy heaven! On Confluence Trail, dogs must be leashed.

The city wants to hear from park visitors and dog owners about where an off-leash area should be located and how it should be regulated in at least one city park.

The city's public off-leash dog park is located in Wilsonville Memorial Park. The Wilsonville Memorial Park Off-Leash Dog Park was relocated to the northeast corner of Memorial Park beside the Community Garden in October 2020 as part of Phase 1 Implementation of the Memorial Park Master Plan.
