War Eagle Cavern on Beaver Lake

Guided subterranean tours, gemstone panning, Moonshiners' Mystery Shack, Lost in the Woods Maze, nature walks, and more are available at War Eagle Cavern on Beaver Lake. Except for within the gift shop, well-behaved dogs are welcome in the cavern and on the grounds. Owners must always keep their dogs on a leash and under control. Follow a rushing stream down into the mountain as you stroll along the banks of Beaver Lake to the cave's beautiful natural entrance. View a variety of formations, including fossils, rimstone dams, and waterfalls, from beneath soaring domes. After the tour, explore the 'Lost in the Woods' maze, feed lake fish, pan for semi-precious gemstones, or trek short nature trails. There are no stairs or tight spaces on the cave trip. Rooms are large, with well-lit corridors. From early March until late November, the Cavern is open seven days a week.

Black Bass Lake City Park

Dogs are welcome at Black Bass Lake City Park! On the pathways around the lake, dogs must be on a leash. With your leashed dog, explore the trails that round the lake (about a one-mile loop) to reach a non-motorized boat launch, a picnic area, many fishing places, two wooden bridges, and roughly one and a half miles of hiking and biking, including a half-mile of handicap accessible route. Along Standing Rock Trail, a vertical sandstone relic protrudes from the lake's depths, while Sycamore Spring runs into the lake and crosses Sycamore Spring. The Bluff Trail follows the St. Joe geological formation, a spectacular limestone bluff with lake views.
