On more than 1,000 acres, the dog-friendly Paul M. Grist State Park in Selma, AL, provides a serene retreat. The Alabama Black Belt Birding Trail includes a stop at Paul M. Grist. Waterfowl, songbirds, raptors, and both migrant and resident species are all likely to be seen in the park. White-tailed deer, Eastern wild turkey, and a variety of amphibians and reptiles are among the other animals you might observe. Most portions of the park allow dogs as long as they are leashed. For safety concerns, several bike and equestrian riding trails do not allow dogs. In stores, food service areas, bathhouses, pools, and swimming areas, dogs are not permitted.Dogs must not be left unattended, and if left in a heated car, they will be confiscated.



Pelham Dog Park is a must-see for all dog lovers in our community. It's along the Greenway Trail in the City Park Complex. A dog run, as well as buildings to climb on or hide beneath, are among the various amenities. Dogs weighing more than 35 pounds should play in the large dog area, while dogs weighing less than 35 pounds should play in the small dog area. Handlers must clean up after their pets and dispose of waste in the bins provided.

The Talladega National Forest offers a variety of hiking paths, as well as picnicking and camping opportunities. Lake Chinnabee is a great place to go fishing, and the Shepard Branch Shooting/Archery Trail is a great place to practice archery. Talladega National Forest is pet friendly, so Petzooie may participate in the fun. Remember to keep Petzooie on a leash and clean up after your pets according to park guidelines.

In front of the building, Common Bond Brewers features a dog-friendly terrace. Petzooie is welcome to join you on the patio, but not inside or on the building's back terrace. Common Bond, which claims to be the city's only production brewery, was founded with the goal of bringing the community together. A variety of ales are available on tap, including amber, rye, blonde, and pale. Common Bond Brewers is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday through Thursday, 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
