The 6.9-mile Black Mountain Trail in San Bernardino National Forest is a challenging climb that will take Petzooie about 4 hours to finish. With granite boulders, huge pines, open vistas, and breathtaking views, this gorgeous, dog-friendly trek in Banning, CA will transport you to the Sierra Nevada. Although you will need an Adventure Pass to park, you will not require a permit.

Whitewater Preserve is a dog-friendly nature preserve in Whitewater, California, providing a variety of hiking routes for all skill levels. Wear appropriate footwear and carry lots of water for both you and Petzooie. The majority of the trails are gravel. Please be aware that this area has no cell coverage.

Bogart Regional Park is located 5 miles north of Beaumont in Cherry Valley, on the foothills of the magnificent San Gorgonio Mountain. Bogart Park encompasses over 400 acres of lush greenery, breathtaking mountain views, and a charming fishing pond. There are fire rings, picnic spots, and facilities available for individual and group camping. Equestrian, hiking, and bicycling routes wind through picturesque scenery and are ideal for leisurely dog walks, hiking, horseback riding, and biking. The fishing pond is surrounded by hills, providing a tranquil and picturesque fishing experience.

Dog-friendly trails can be found at Humber Park in Idyllwild, California. The trailhead has paved parking and vault toilets. A National Parks Pass or an Adventure Pass is required. While hiking in this region, make sure Petzooie is leashed. Please note that dogs are not permitted in the State Park Wilderness; boundaries can be found on their website.

The 6-mile Tahquitz Peak Fire Lookout trek is tough, but dog-friendly, and will take Petzooie around 4 hours to finish. This trail to Tahquitz Peak is less traveled and more dog-friendly than the other. Because this route passes through the San Jacinto Wilderness, leash regulations apply. Depending on where you start your hike, you'll need a wilderness ticket or an Adventure Pass.
