Liston Dog Park

Statz Park is a 2.84-acre park near center Baraboo that borders the Baraboo River. The Parks Department maintains and grooms a lovely ball field. Two dugouts, bleachers, a drinking fountain, and male and female facilities are available on the field. Batting practice is available at the batting cages. Between the outfield of the ball park and the Baraboo River, near to the playground, there is a shelter with a grill that is offered on a first come, first served basis.

A 9.2-acre park located at the city's west entrance along W. Highway 33 and Conant Street This park is one of Portage's most beautiful. Pauquette Park is named after Pierre Pauquette, a well-known fur trader/translator for the French and Native Americans who ran a ferry from 1828 to 1857; a memorial honoring him is located beside the Pauquette Park sign on the north side of the bridge. Pauquette Park was was a brickyard before being dredged to create Bridal Pond. The United States granted this land to William Armstron, owner of "Armstron Brick Yard." It was purchased by the government in 1869 and used to make bricks for the construction of dwellings in Portage. The site was presented to the city of Portage by attorney Charles H. Hall.

Salmo Pond is a 7.5-acre county park with shoreline fishing, three handicapped fishing piers, two handicapped shore fishing stations, and picnic spots. A 3-acre lake (originally a rock quarry) with a maximum depth of 15 feet can be found there. Panfish and trout are the most common fish species. Scherbel Road, 1.5 miles west of the Village of Cross Plains and south of USH 14, leads to the park entrance.

Ripp Park is an 87.2-acre community park and natural area in Waunakee, Wisconsin. Wetlands on the west and north, and residences on the south and east, surround the park.

The 146-acre Metropolitan Refuse District (MRD) site includes a dog exercise facility. A 20-car parking area, shade shelter, picnic tables, drinking water, gated agility course, self-registration, portable restrooms, dog waste disposal bags, and manicured trails are all available at the off-leash dog park. There is a 3-acre small dog area available for usage. Permission is necessary. All Dane County Parks, City of Middleton, City of Sun Prairie, and Village of Waunakee dog park licences are valid. A shade shelter, picnic paths, a fenced agility course, portable restrooms, dog waste disposal bags, and manicured trails are all available at this 3-acre dog park. Visitor permits are $5 and can be purchased at the park's self-registration station. The park is open year-round, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
