One of the largest archaeological sites in the region is the Toltec Mounds Archaeological State Park, which is a National Historic Site. Take a self-guided hike through the park or join one of the guided hikes that are offered. Simply keep Petzooie leashed at all times.

Pets are welcome on Hot Springs Duck Tours. This is more than a tour; it's a journey. Ride with your leashed dog on one of Hot Springs National Park's oldest and most unique tours. The tour includes a 75-minute journey aboard an amphibious World War II DUKW, which will take you around the famed bathhouse row and other historic landmarks all the way to gorgeous Lake Hamilton. You will take a ride around St. John's Island on the water section of the tour, where you will be able to visit more historic landmarks. Ticket prices begin at $25. Tours are offered at 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. during peak season.

Hobbs is Arkansas's largest state park, encompassing a 12,054-acre Ozark environment near Beaver Lake's southern coast. This day-use park has a 52-mile trail system that includes hiking. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

Between the basketball courts and Pioneer Village lies Searcy Dog Park, which is part of the Searcy Sports Complex. This off-leash park has two fenced-in zones and is open from sunrise to sundown.

At Lake Ouachita State Park, you can spend the day fishing or hiking with your best friend. Here, you and your dog will discover plenty of opportunities to spend a day in the great outdoors. Just make sure Petzooie is always on a leash. The Ouachita National Forest surrounds the area, which has 40,000 acres of beautiful, clean water. Here you can go swimming, skiing, scuba diving, boating, kayaking, and fishing. In broad waters or quiet coves, you can catch bream, crappie, catfish, striped bass, and largemouth bass.

Take a trip back in time to the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s, when mineral water, gambling, bootlegging, and other extreme pleasures drew tourists from all over the world to Hot Springs, Arkansas. The Gangster Museum of America is a historical and amusing tale of how some of America's most prominent gangsters co-existed with the quaint residents of this small valley town in the central Arkansas highlands. The audiovisual experience of the seven galleries is worth the admission price in and of itself. Play in the antique casino while listening to the historian in the museum theater tell entertaining, informative, and educational stories about who, what, when, and where.
