At this lovely park, which also features historic Native American sites, the aroma of eucalyptus permeates the air. On-leash pets are welcome, though steep routes should be avoided.

The Point Isabel Regional Shoreline welcomes pets. Every year, nearly half a million dogs visit the park, which has over 23 acres to explore off-leash. Bay fishing, hiking, birdwatching, motorcycling, and jogging are just a few of the activities available at the park. Any person who allows their dog or other animal to be off leash must have a leash (maximum of six feet), keep their dog or other animal under voice control and within sight at all times, clean up after their dog, immediately leash any dog that shows aggression, and prevent dogs from digging or otherwise damaging park resources.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Point Isabel Regional Shoreline Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Richmond! A quarter-acre park is home to Bruce King Memorial Dog Park. Sunup to Sundown is the park's operating hours. Between Potrero Avenue and Blake Street, it's very next to the Ohlone Greenway. Several decades ago, this area was constructed as a demonstration forest, with mature trees on the property.
