Jefferson County SPCA Petco Adoption Center

The Jefferson County SPCA was founded in 1891, and its goal is to combat animal abuse by offering a focused adoption, foster, and medical program across the Region of Northern New York.

Our goal is to give companion animals without homes care, solace, and kindness. Through spay/neuter, the LCHS seeks to put an end to stray and abandoned animals. By encouraging kind, responsible pet ownership, we work to make sure the animals in our care are adopted into loving, lifelong homes.

In the Black Lake area of Northern New York, GFAS is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization committed to animal rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming, and for some, a loving forever home. Since 2002, Gracious Friends has taken care of a large number of confiscated, abandoned, or surrendered domesticated animals that have been mistreated and neglected. Donations, grants, and fundraising activities are how we get our money.

The Oswego County Humane Society and the Animal Welfare League are not linked with us. The City of Oswego's law enforcement is handled by us.

Our trained staff is here to assist the animals in our community and find loving homes for our dear friends.
