Oswego County Humane Society

The Oswego County Humane Society and the Animal Welfare League are not linked with us. The City of Oswego's law enforcement is handled by us.

Many animals of all kinds are currently available and in need of loving homes. Dogs, cats, and other small animals (rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, etc.) are all in need of decent homes and families, but the quantity of cats is overwhelming.

Our rescue facility is called Cracker Box Palace. As the only large animal and farm animal shelter in the area, we collaborate with the county and neighborhood humane societies to take in and care for sick or injured animals. Around 100+ horses, pigs, goats, sheep, cows, geese, chickens, bunnies, and a few patrolling cats are currently among our residents.

To give the cats and dogs entrusted to our care permanent, loving homes and to uphold a no-kill attitude in order to provide our community with an animal shelter that demonstrates compassion and respect for life.
