You and your family can choose from a broad selection of possible pets at our shelter. The majority of our animals are either stray animals or pets that their owners no longer wanted to care for. The affordable cost of spaying and neutering as well as the confidence that your new pet has already gotten initial vaccines against contagious diseases are just two of the numerous advantages of adopting from our County Animal Shelter.

A 501(c)3 organization called the Humane Society of Cherokee County was founded with the mission of preserving the lives of unwanted and abandoned animals in the county.

Sasha Luna is who I am. In Laurens County, South Carolina, my house was a puppy mill. I've spent my entire life there, along with 107 hens and ducks and 147 other dogs just like me. There were a few "jumping dogs" as well; people referred to them as "rabbits."

Only cats and people's pet dogs are accepted. If you have spotted a stray dog, please contact Laurens County Animal Control at 864-984-2523 as we are unable to take them in.
